Direct from India, Mysore Sandal Soap has been manufactured since 1916 when Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the Maharajah of Mysore, set up the Government Soap Factory in Bangalore. It is scented with pure Mysore sandalwood oil, the best of the best!
This gentle soap is suitable for all skin types. It can be used as a facial soap as well as a body cleanser. Sandalwood is cited in the ancient ayurvedic texts as particularly soothing to pitta-related skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, prickly heat, redness and non-specific rashes. It's considered a cooling pungent.
The scent of sandalwood is strong, slightly floral, slightly woody and sort of spicy. Perfect for men and women alike.
(If you don't like strongly scented soaps, this one is not for you. Vegans, this soap contains lanolin.)
Ingredients: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Tetra Sodium EDTA, Lanolin, Glycerine, Sandalwood Oil, Perfume and COS colors.
